Today’s lecture consisted of the class looking at images mentioned in this week’s reading by Auslander. The class also discussed the question: how much does a re-creation of a performance based on archives actually recreate the documentation. Also an example was given of Abramovic, 'Seven Easy Pieces'.
During today’s seminar myself, Melody , Shamika, decided to
form o group. We had a discussion about the different archival material we
looked at individually. We had a discussion about the different archival
material we individually encountered. Through elimination we narrowed our
choices down to UBU and The Dream Capsule
